  I am still in shock. I have had to endure every pet parent's worst nightmare. I brought my cat here to see an internal specialist to have an ultrasound done to get some answers and treatment options because she had an enlarged kidney. I thought I was in great hands because I had a positive experience here many years before with one on their surgeons and you can feel the compassion of the staff when you walk in. I tried to get an appointment for the ultrasound but they did not have one for several days so it was recommended i bring her in as an emergency so it could get done same day. When we arrived they took her back to do their assessment and after waiting for 5 hours to see the doctor...me in lobby, Sweetpea in the back (I wish with all my heart that I had demanded we be together while we waited) I saw Dr. Kitty. She advised they would admit her and give her some fluids so she could start feeling better and Dr. Collins would giver an ultrasound shortly. When they brought Sweetpea in the room they had a cone on her head. I could tell she was stressed and not very happy. I should have demanded they remove it immediately. They said they would as soon as they got her settled in the back. I told Dr. Kitty how uneasy I was about leaving her there but she assured me they would keep her comfortable and it was the only way to get the ultrasound done today. I trusted her...so I left to go run an errand but called 30 minutes later because i wanted to make sure that damn cone was off and she had a little sedative to relax her. I was told the doctor was in an emergency and she would call me shortly. About 15 minutes later Dr. Kitty called to tell me that they gave her full anesthesia (without telling me first) to do the ultrasound and she had a bad reaction and they were trying to stabilize her. Then she said they are doing everything they could to bring her back and I completely freaked out after that. It's a miracle I was able to make the drive to their office. I told her to do anything and everything to save her. She passed away unnecessarily on Monday and am still trying to pull myself together. I know they did not kill her on purpose but why would you give a cat with a compromised kidney full anesthesia for an ultrasound. Dr. Kitty was very apologetic, Dr. Collins did not come to speak to me. I have always had animals and of course have had many loses but this one just hurts so much more than the others because it did not have to happen this way. My baby died without me and I did not have a chance to say goodbye.

  Buyer beware. This place is a complete scam. They charged me $3800 for a CT scan and scope of my dogs nasal passage. Their supposed “specialists” couldn’t even figure out what was wrong with my dog. Had to take her to UC Davis to see actual specialists. Got the same exact tests done for $900. Stay away from this place. They are NOT “specialists”.
